Panel saw is
one unique kind of wood cutting system. The system comprise
of cutting blade of about a maximum two feet in length.
A dividing panel which divides material sheets in to
various different parts. The saw system has the ability
to make different kinds of cuts.
It can make a rip, cross and angular cuts. No other
saw has this ability to make all three different cut
with the same equipment. Panel saw table provides efficiency,
accuracy and flexibility. The table can be positioned
in different angles to obtain desirable results. The
table has a T-square gauge which guides material across
the blade for immaculate straight cutting. Brackets
ensure that the material is fixed in the desired alignment
of T-square.
Rip cut can be made by placing the saw in perpendicular
position to the T-square. Cross cutting is possible
by placing the saw parallel to the T-square. For angular
cutting place the saw in the desired angle of cut.
There are two different types of panel saws:
- Horizontal Panel Saw
- Vertical Panel Saw
Horizontal Panel Saw
Horizontal system has the similar design as of a
table saw. It has a very large slider compare to the
table saw. The material is passed through the large
support for cutting. The sliding support is also known
as feeder as it feed the material into the blade.
Horizontal Panel saw are more accurate, precise and
easy to handle than the table saws. These saw are
more expensive and occupy lot more space than standard
table saw.
Vertical Panel Saw
The name defines the functionality and design of
the system. Saw is vertically tilted. Being vertically
designed these system take less space compare to horizontal
system. They are cheaper than the horizontal panel
saw and very effective. Usually these systems are
operated by single person. The entire sheet of material
can be easy handle as it is placed vertically to the
ground.
The choice of saw depends on the requirement and demand
of the job. There are numerous manufacturers of panel
saws in the world market. They differentiate according
to the sizes, modification and dual features available
in particular manufacturer’s model. With so many
models available it difficult to decide which one is
best for the need. We have developed this site to help
you understand the functionality and purpose of each
panel saw.
