Echo has been in the power equipment industry for more than 30 years. Their specialty is hand-held landscaping equipment for the homeowner and the commercial user. In 1972 Echo was established as Kioritz Corporation of America and was importing 2-cycle engine tools from the Japanese parent company. In 1978 it was renamed Echo and shortly thereafter began manufacturing trimmers, chainsaws, and other landscaping tools in Wheeling, Illinois. Echo has provided Home Depot with its quality outdoor power equipment since 1994. Since then Echo has continued to expand with thirteen distributors in the United States and Canada and another eight distributors worldwide. This expansion has allowed Echo to develop technology that makes their engines more efficient and more powerful. Echo offers chainsaws that range from the homeowner's trimming model to an all-out logging operation's chainsaw. The smallest model features a standard blade of twelve inches with an optional 14-inch or 16" bar available. It has an automatic oiling system to lubricate the bar and chain and prevent overheating and power reduction caused by excessive friction. It also has a vibration reduction system as a standard feature. Without the bar and chain, this small chainsaw weighs almost eight pounds. For professionals who need more power, one of the mid-sized saws would be a better choice. The CS-360T has a larger engine displacement, higher torque, and better balance while remaining lightweight. The standard bar is sixteen inches. It also has the automatic oiling system; but instead of the standard chain brake, it has the inertia type. Two large models are the Echo offerings for heavy-duty logging. The CS-670 and the CS-8000 are popular for felling trees. The CS-670 has a 24-inch bar with and engine displacement of 66.7cc. It has an automatic oiling system than can be manually overridden. This model weighs 14.3 pounds without the bar and chain. The big guy in Echo chainsaws is the CS-8000. With an 80.7cc engine displacement, this saw adds punch to a logging job. At 16.5 pounds it has a 24-inch bar and the same oiling system as the CS-670. Echo knows what outdoor power equipment is all about. They are developing their specialty every year to provide their customers with the best and most efficient chainsaws on the market. Echo chainsaws can definitely meet your needs no matter how small or how large.
